Agents know the app, and always-on assistants join in

Agents can answer questions about Threadlines and change settings for you on a card you accept. Always-on assistants like Grok Bot, Claude Duet, Muse and dots can connect and start threads, and threads can carry on by themselves after a usage limit resets.

Agents know Threadlines and change settings for you

Ask your agent how something in Threadlines works and it answers from a guide to the app, with a link that opens the right setting. It can also change many settings for you, like the theme, your alerts or the model new threads start with, once you accept a card above the message box. Settings that give agents more reach stay yours to change.

Always-on assistants can use Threadlines

Grok Bot, Claude Duet, Muse and dots can connect from their own cloud, once you approve each one in the app. They see the projects you allow, start and follow threads, and can work on your other linked computers too. Approvals and plans always wait for you. Alerts to a web address, like a Grok routine, say when a thread needs you, fails or finishes, and can send Finished only when you ask.

Threads continue after a usage limit resets

When a Claude or Codex turn stops on your plan's usage limit, the thread says when the limit resets and can carry on by itself then. Turn on Continue at reset for one thread, or for all of them in Settings › Threads. If you've added another account for that agent, you can switch to it instead.

Sign in once in the browser panel

A sign-in in the browser panel now works in every project on that computer, and the desktop app supports passkeys with Touch ID on a Mac. A size menu shows a page at phone, tablet, laptop or desktop size, and sets the size new tabs open at.

A simpler message box and inbox

One model button holds the agent, its effort, Build or Plan mode and the access level. While an agent works, Cmd/Ctrl+Enter sends a message the other way, steering now or waiting until it's done. Sort the inbox, and drag threads and groups into your own order.

Also improved

  • A What's new window shows each update's release notes in the app, and Settings has a search.
  • The file viewer opens files outside the project, and a link to a thread opens it in the desktop app.
  • Phone alerts stay quiet while you're at a computer, and you can mute them for one project. Tapping a text field on an iPhone or iPad no longer zooms the page.
  • Old chats open faster, and a slow database read or update no longer freezes the app.
  • Report a problem on a form in the app. It posts from your own GitHub account and adds your version and setup.
  • The "Merge when checks pass" switch no longer waits forever. Codex resends your message after a stale sign-in, and Electron 45.2.1 brings Chromium security fixes.
